Package: apt-transport-https Version: 1.1~exp8 Severity: normal Hi!
I've setup a private repository using https. From a host running unstable plus much of experimental (this include apt and gnutls), there's no progress reported when downloading stuff from that repository. From another host using the same repository, but running jessie, there is progress reporting. If you cannot reproduce I can try to give more information, or perhaps try to bisect it.
