Thanks for reporting. As we already discussed on irc, I agree that apart from the long-term solution of Sugar rewritten to use newer Tubes API there's really no alternative to re-introducing the older API as a separate package. I have prepared a package, we have both tested that indeed it works, and I am now polishing for official release to Debian, tracked at http://bugs.debian.org/782448 . Sadly it is totally unreasonable to expect a new Debian package to get included in Jessie while in deep freeze, so I see no other option than to request the removal of *all* Sugar packages for the Jessie release: Sugar without collaboration is broken Sugar! :-( I have hesitated, to try come up with smarter approaches, but Jessie release is fast approaching, so I will probably file the gigantic removal request later today... Just to be clear: I will request removal from Jessie branch of Debian only - packages will stay in unstable and experimental. - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist & Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ [x] quote me freely [ ] ask before reusing [ ] keep private
