Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.6.24
Severity: wishlist

AFAICS the patch queue branch (and with it gbp-pq) could
be made obsolete.

Currently all changes in the patch queue branch are supposed
to happen outside of the debian directory tree, while the
current master branch provides *only* the debian directory.
Changes in these branches do not overlap, so it should be easy
to manage debian directory and changes to upstream's code within
the same branch.

Advantages:

- - common history for patches and build infrastructure
- - reduce the number of branches, making gbp more easy to use

Regards
Harri
