Hello Oliver,

I was just preparing an update for the sysutils package, being the new
maintainer and all and trying to finally split out the individual
utilities into separate packages as they are fairly disconnected, see
bug#253302 for background.

This is when I noticed that for some reason memtester was packaged
separately already, using the exact same version as was present in the
sysutils package. Even though it eludes me why this might have been
necessary the mere presence of this package now hinders my intended
package split. Furthermore, due to recent changes in sysutils, the two
packages now don't adequately conflict with each other, so some action
needs to be taken as this is basically RC.

Please take a look at the update I had prepared, files are at
<http://people.debian.org/~florian/memtester/>, and provide an update
yourself if you want to continue maintaining this package (which is
fine with me, btw). If I don't hear from you until shortly after the
holidays I will merge your packaging and mine and will update an NMU.
But if you are not interested in maintaining memtester anymore (no new
upstream releases package ever) I'll simply take over by completely
replacing your packaging.

Hope to hear from you soon,
cheers,
Flo
