I'm not sure if the crash was actually caused by the daemon-reload. Jonas, do you still have the /core file around? If so, could you pull the systemd-dbg package from snapshots.debian.org with the same version you had installed back then and get us a backtrace via gdb --core /core /lib/systemd/systemd bt full Let's see if that gives any clues. If not, and you are not willing to further debug this by trying to reproduce it, what do you suggest should we do about this bug report?
