can you quantify your "sometimes"? How often does it crash?
I’d say every third start.
(Asking because of your severity -- you know, "grave" and "sometimes" do
not really git together.)
Well, if it crashes while composing a message, then that message with
possible is lost as auto-save does only run every minute or so.
Also, on this PC, evolution works quite stable, it very seldom crashes.
Good for you. ;-) Though can you quantify “seldom”? Do you have
reference to the bug reports please, so I can see if it’s also due to
WebKitGTK+? (I found corekeeper [1] quite useful to capture the core
dump files in `/var/crashes`.)
Maybe a low single digit times within months, using evolution on
multiple machines.
Th annoyance level is lower, so I was not bothered to dig into that.
However, due to the lack of similar reports, I guess what you see is
something related to your setup, so we should take a look into that
directon. Maybe your use case is a lot different... What are your
settings? e.g I do not use html mails (I use textmail), maybe you can
also describe how you reproduce this?
