That's a Very Wrong (tm) library packaging, we should build-depend on something like libglusterfs-dev, not glusterfs-common. I filed a bug about it against glusterfs-common, #780334. Until glusterfs packaging is sane I think it's not a good idea to introduce glusterfs support. Also this is not really easy thing, because it brings us several non- trivial dependencies to the binary packages and users already complained about too much dependencies qemu has. I want to introduce qemu-block-extra package first, where we'll keep all "extra" block backends which are not-so-often used but wich has extra deps. > also referring to the bugreport on libvirt: #755545 So I'd say #755545 should be blocked by #780334 too.
