I'm using a freshly-installed jessie i386 virtual machine with
the standard system, task-gnome-desktop, task-ssh-server and xrdp
installed to reproduce #776746, and logging in using Vinagre. This is a
very boring configuration, so hopefully it's easy to reproduce.
When I log in I'm offered these choices for "Module", not all of
which work:
sesman-Xvnc works
console does not work (error)
vnc-any not tested
sesman-any not tested
rdp-any not tested
freerdp-any not tested
sesman-X11rdp does not work (GUI hangs?)
sesman-Xvnc works (GNOME fails to start, because Xvnc doesn't support the
Composite extension, but that's #776746).
console asks for a password and tries to connect to port 5900, where
there is no server listening. I assume it's meant to connect to some
hard-coded VNC server exporting the console. Is this meant to work
out-of-the-box?
vnc-any, sesman-any, rdp-any, freerdp-any seem to expect to connect to
some other machine specified by IP:port, so I have not tested them.
sesman-X11rdp produces a "Connection Log" window with this text:

The OK button has a dotted highlight rectangle, but does not respond
to mouse clicks, Space, Enter or Tab.
The line ending "displa" presumably actually says "display :1"
or something, but it's truncated by the edge of the window.
