I'm going to make this change upstream, but I'm trying to understand if
the _hkp and _pg backends need the same change - I'm guessing it FTBFS
because the testsuite fails when the db4 backend can't be loaded? The
hkp and pg backends aren't tested automatically, so won't see this.
