Package: apt-proxy Version: 1.9.32 Severity: normal Hi,
finally I'm bothered enough to write a bug report about this. apt-proxy doesn't stop downloading a package when the APT "frontend" "dies". I use aptitude and thus I can quit the download without exiting the whole program. While aptitude doesn't request any more packages, apt-proxy still downloads the last package requested. I even tried to specifically set complete_clientless_downloads = 0 but it didn't help. The only way to stop apt-proxy is to actually stop it via the init-script. This is really annoying on a low-bandwidth-dialup connection.
