There weren't any behavioural changes done in that regard.

Have you made sure, that no other component is inhibiting suspend?

What's the output of
systemctl status systemd-logind.service and
systemd-inhibit?

The output of journalctl -u systemd-logind.service might be useful as
well, especially when you close/open the lid.
