Package: mate-desktop-environment Version: 1.8.0+7 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? I did a vanilla install of jessie, with MATE as the only DE. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? In caja, on the left clicking on "Browse network". * What was the outcome of this action? I got a popup error: Could not display "network:///". Caja cannot handle "network locations" * What outcome did you expect instead? Browsing network locations ... With help of the MATE forums, I was able to fix it by installing gvfs-backends and reboot. This should be a standard requirement of m-d-e. It wasn't even installed when adding mate-user-share ... *** End of the template - remove these template lines *** -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-686-pae (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_ZA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_ZA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages mate-desktop-environment depends on: ii mate-desktop-environment-core 1.8.0+7 Versions of packages mate-desktop-environment recommends: ii atril 1.8.1+dfsg1-3 ii desktop-base 8.0.2 ii engrampa 1.8.1+dfsg1-1 ii eom 1.8.0+dfsg1-4+b2 ii ffmpegthumbnailer 2.0.8-2+b4 ii galculator 2.1.3-1 ii mate-applets 1.8.1+dfsg1-3 ii mate-icon-theme-faenza 1.8.0+dfsg1-1 ii mate-media 1.8.0+dfsg1-3 ii mate-notification-daemon 1.8.1-2 ii mate-power-manager 1.8.1+dfsg1-3 ii mate-screensaver 1.8.1-1 ii mate-system-monitor 1.8.0+dfsg1-2 ii mate-themes 1.9.2-1 ii mate-utils 1.8.1+dfsg1-1 ii pluma 1.8.1+dfsg1-2 Versions of packages mate-desktop-environment suggests: ii bsd-mailx [mail-reader] 8.1.2-0.20141216cvs-1 ii icedove [mail-reader] 31.3.0-1 ii iceweasel 31.4.0esr-1 ii mutt [mail-reader] 1.5.23-3 ii network-manager-gnome 0.9.10.0-2 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
