This is mostly backwards-compatibility stuff. There is no need to carry it forward in the systemd unit file, AFAIK: if a kernel is new enough to be able to run the udev version required by systemd, it is new enough to have a modern device node for the random device driver. -- "One disk to rule them all, One disk to find them.
