from the current broken akonadi it is hard till impossible to come to a working akonadi again. Either you go to the mysql level and look through what is going wrong there. Or clean the akonadi dir /home/nick/.local/share/akonadi and start again. Do not forget to backup. was akonadi running before? Without a running akonadi you can't use kontact...
