I would say that it is not. I had to upload a version to fix a bug in a dependency, but I then discovered that this fix was already part of the new upstream release, released a few months before. As a maintainer of a dependency, I'd appreciate if you could revive a bit the packaging of libjsoncpp. But I am in no way involved in the packaging of libjsoncpp myself, so it would be better to have the advice of the actual maintainers. Please also note that I have currently no free time to devote to that package. Even in a co-maintaining way, sorry.
