Package: udev Version: 175-7.2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I have discovered that after going to runlevel 1 and returning to runlevel 3. ttys are not created with the appropiate permissions, in particular tty1.
My logs in auth.log got cluttered with these message: getty[4877] /dev/tty1: cannot open as standard input: Input/output error After fuzing around a little bit, i discovered that restaring udev or starting stopping it was not enough, even erasing allf the ttys files and restarting udev doesnt solve the problem -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.8 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.2.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages udev depends on: ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.49 ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u6 ii libselinux1 2.1.9-5 ii libudev0 175-7.2 ii lsb-base 4.1+Debian8+deb7u1 ii procps 1:3.3.3-3 ii util-linux 2.20.1-5.3 Versions of packages udev recommends: ii pciutils 1:3.1.9-6 ii usbutils 1:005-3 udev suggests no packages. -- debconf information excluded -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
