Package: espeakup Version: 1:0.71-18 Severity: important Hello,
Currently, booting a system with espeakup will always be noisy with daemon startup messages. This is merely because systemd thinks espeakup failed to start. Indeed, there is apparently a race in the espeakup boot scripts: the espeakup daemon calls daemon() before writing its pid file. We will have to fix this properly. For Jessie we can use the STARTTIME variable to let the script wait for two seconds before checking the pid file. Thanks to systemd's parallelism and early start of espeakup, this should not hurt the user experience (and at any rate, way less than the current noisy boot).
