Package: cifs-utils Version: 2:6.4-1 Severity: normal Tags: newcomer /etc/fstab includes: //192.168.12.201/vol1 /home/xx/vol1 cifs uid=1000,umask=000,credentials=/usr/local/etc/whisper.credentials 0 0
/usr/local/etc/whisper.credentials includes: username=xx domain=XXX password=mypass# trying a "mount /home/xx/vol1" i get this error: mount error(22): Invalid argument Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs) Now i removed the "password=mypass#"-line from /usr/local/etc/whisper.credentials and the mount command asks me interactive for a valid password. I enter my working password and i get an error too. This setup worked 24 hours ago on a pc installed 2 days ago. Now i did a fresh install and maybe i pulled newer version? I am able to connect my remote drive in KDE and i am able tho copy files in KDE but i am unable to use the mount command. So at least i know my password is correct. -- System Information: Debian Release: 8.0 APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages cifs-utils depends on: ii libc6 2.19-13 ii libcap-ng0 0.7.4-2 ii libkeyutils1 1.5.9-5+b1 ii libkrb5-3 1.12.1+dfsg-16 ii libtalloc2 2.1.1-2 ii libwbclient0 2:4.1.13+dfsg-2 ii samba-common 2:4.1.13+dfsg-2 Versions of packages cifs-utils recommends: ii keyutils 1.5.9-5+b1 ii winbind 2:4.1.13+dfsg-2 Versions of packages cifs-utils suggests: ii smbclient 2:4.1.13+dfsg-2 -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
