thanks for the clarification, i got it just in time to not spend time
looking for nonexisting harfbuzz stuff.

the cgal version in testing (4.5-2) builds well on wheezy, and i've
built openscad in a cowbuilder based on it. the openscad version on my
mirror was rebuilt from that cgal version (sorry, forgot to add the +b1
when building, so the files on the mirror changed their contents).

i didn't notice any change in the behavior with the new cgal version,
but given it was an easy backport and as you said might keep subtle bugs
out, it should still be a good idea.

as before, if i could get feedback on how csg mode works on real
hardware, i'd deem the backport ready.

thanks for your input
