I encountered the same thing on a mailserver I just upgraded from wheezy to jessie. Modifying the initscripts for courier-imap, courier-imap-ssl, courier-pop and courier-pop-ssl to append courier-authdaemon to the LSB header list of Required-Start services seems to solve this and gets them properly starting on reboot again. -- Jeremy Stanley
