I can confirm this bug. I am using the beta2 installer DVD1, and trying to dual-boot jessie on an existing ubuntu box.
Using manual partitioning, I first resized the ubuntu root partition from 1tb down to 500gb, then attempted to create an encrypted LVM partition in the free space. This automatically filled the LVM VG with a single ext4 partition, but I needed an encrypted swap space also, so went into "configure lvm", but there were no options there to change LVs. On exiting that menu, partman attempts to detect disks, but hangs at 81%. I have reproduced this twice.
