Thanks for the pointer. I suggest to add a link to it on https://pkg-multimedia.alioth.debian.org/ because that's where I looked first. I'm mostly fine with the policy. My preferences only differ with regards to the changelog policy using git-dch. IMHO producing readable changelogs with git-dch is more effort than removing changelog entries upon cherry-picking or reverting. But it wouldn't be the first team who prefers git-dch. So I'll send a join request soon after this mail and will try to maintain it under the pkg-multimedia head and see how well it works. I won't do much else in the team, though.
