Most likely an issue of using managed=true (which is not the default). I assume your eth0 is configured in /etc/network/interfaces, and therefore configured by both ifupdown and NetworkManager. This might result in you your default route and /etc/resolv.conf becoming messed up. -- Why is it that all of the instruments seeking intelligent life in the universe are pointed away from Earth?
