Hi, I just checked it again, and the files were still available. I noticed that on my machine also acpi_cpufreq has to be loaded (for hardware cpufreq support). Perhaps some other hardware-related module is not loaded on your system? Does the directory /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq exist?
