I now had the time to reproduce this, and write and test a fix. This is now committed in http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-mysql/mariadb-10.0.git/commit/?id=3afe791ed47b897de8fa9be998a4217fc2a36bad but I am not sure if this alone justifies an upload of 10.0.15-3 into unstable..
