kmail has no own code to check certificates. It uses the kde standard (systemsettings -> ssl settings). If i understood you correctly than you say, that the bug you have is that, firefox get a chain of certificates and kmail not. If yes has make sure that, the complete chain is transmitted via pop, too? Keep in mind you have to tell also your pop server to ship a certificate chain not only you webserver. Normaly called key, cert and ca. And it sounds like you do not ship the ca for the key. Regads, sandro
