Package: aptitude Version: 0.4.1-1 Severity: minor aptitude often tells me that "the following packages are RECOMMENDED but will not be installed," or some such language to that effect. This is confusing, because aptitude installs "recommended" packages (as defined in the .deb) by default, but not "suggested" packages. I thought my aptitude was broken until I looked more closely at what it was choosing to install/not install.
