Yes another user also noticed this.


Is this only a problem in the -8 package?  I am going to go back,
purge all, install the -6 from testing, and test the upgrade from
there again.


No it could theoretically be in anywhere from -6 to -9 depending on a users upgrade history. Also it happens only if dovecot-core was upgraded without an intervening purge. I think I have a fix for this and there will be a -11 soon, I just haven't had time to work on it so far today.
