The upstream of this package is edition 1.0 while this package edition on debian is actually quite 2 years out of date.
bug 681794 here on Jessie/testing appears to be the same as filed back in 2012 ( https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=681794 )
It would be great if this package got updated as this software is still being actively developed.
