This bug is opened for reference. Email to rsyslog mailinglist sent. Source code maintainer should check whether newer versions have the proposed checks implemented (doesn't look like). Once setting the InputTCPMaxSessions above the value of MaxOpenFiles the limit to input sessions is still <=MaxOpenFiles. Setting the value of InputTCPMaxSessions should increase MaxOpenFiles or rsyslog should not start or complain about it at least. Some additional checks to related configuration parameters should be made. -- Peter Viskup
