Not sure if the bug is the same, but I saw that the previous trigger
cycle had multiple duplicates, so decided to add here.

I just did a wheezy-to-jessie dist-upgrade of my system and the process
aborted twice (after dpkg is set upped):

Setting up dpkg (1.17.21) ...

<lot of messages>

dpkg: cycle found while processing triggers:
 chain of packages whose triggers are or may be responsible:
  doc-base -> doc-base
 packages' pending triggers which are or may be unresolvable:
  doc-base: /usr/share/doc-base
dpkg: error processing package doc-base (--configure):
 triggers looping, abandoned

and after apt-get install -f and apt-get dist-upgrade again:

dpkg: cycle found while processing triggers:
 chain of packages whose triggers are or may be responsible:
  man-db -> man-db
 packages' pending triggers which are or may be unresolvable:
  man-db: /usr/share/man
dpkg: error processing package man-db (--configure):
 triggers looping, abandoned

If it helps, I can provide a (script) log of the upgrade process.

Paul
