Package: pidgin Version: 2.10.11-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
recently, a recommendation of gstreamer0.10-alsa has been added to Pidgin. This is completely bogus on my system (and probably many more) as I am using PulseAudio. If the gstreamer alsa plugin is ever used, that's a bug. I doubt pidgin requires gstreamer to play audio through ALSA. Is there any reason you did not go with the pseudo-packages gstreamer0.10-audiosink and gstreamer0.10-audiosource? If yes, then at least gstreamer0.10-pulseaudio should be accepted as alternative recommendation.
