There's been some pondering if some minor API change warrants an RC2
version or if that change should just be reverted [1] - afaict RC2
won't happen, so 9.4.0 should be there soonish. Usually the packagers
learn about this one or two weeks in advance, so there's still chances
to make it happen before Christmas. (Afaict the chances for that are
rather good.)
