It gives lesser choices in some areas, but isn't the lack of magnification support a problem? I mean AIUI gnome seems like a good default since it has support for a large range of accessibility features, even if it's not as good at some of them as MATE can be. MATE, on the other hand, is notably missing magnification, which I think will be a real concern for quite a few people (as in: not usable at all), and AIUI MATE customizations will not be enough to deal with that. > Moreover, compiz can be easily implemented (Luca is doing).
