Julian, you are right! My testing was wrong: I did not test the --compile option, but only the LESS/CSS style checker function (no options), so your bug report remains valid. But IMHO "serious" is not right severity for the bug. It is reserved for severe violations of Debian policy. It should probably be "normal" or "important".
