I don't think this was anything more than a simple misjudgement of the
magnitude of the issue coupled with an enthusiasm to keep adding
anti-spam rules. I have been following the author John Hardin's
efforts on the upstream spamassassin mailing list for a long time. He
has been doing good work. Experience is where you get the test first
and the lesson second. We all make mistakes. This was simply one of
those mistakes. And John has been working with the community since to
produce a good resolution to the problem. That is already much better
than most of Debian. I hope this doesn't make him gun-shy about
continuing to add improvements to SpamAssassin. I know that we have
benefited from his work and I hope to continue to do so in the future.

Also thanks to you for the quick package update to enable use of these
new rules as they become available.

Bob
