Yes, known. New packages that will be in jessie will have the files moved to a better location, and in addition no compressed pdf, which means all the trickery will not be necessary. I don't close the bug as there is still a way to fix it, but that needs contribution to fix texdoc to work around these problems. Patches are welcome.
