Hi Matthias, When building a stage1 cross compiler using the default method, the resulting multilib package is not installable. gcc-4.9-multilib-$targettriplet depends on * libc6-dev-$multilib-$targetarch-cross This package cannot be built without a stage1 gcc in the bootstrap scenario. * lib${biarch}gcc-4.9-dev This package is not built in stage1. Thus the stage1 cross gcc-4.9-multilib-$targettriplet is not installable. There are multiple ways to solve this problem. One way is to empty the respective make variables in d/rules.conf. Another is to drop the relevant substitution variables in d/control.m4. I am attaching a patch for the former variant, because this is more consistent with the packaging. Helmut
