Hi GnuPG folks-- We just got some Spanish translations for GnuPG 1.4.x and 2.0.x reported to the Debian Project by Manuel "Venturi" Porras Peralta.
They're here: https://bugs.debian.org/770726 https://bugs.debian.org/770727 They convert po/es.po from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8, and they also make a number of changes to the .po file (apparently for consistency and for up-to-dateness, though i'm not a Spanish-speaker so i can't vouch for them). I don't see a good way to send a git changeset via e-mail where the file is in a different encoding before and after the change, unfortunately. I think the right way to apply them in git is to convert po/es.po to UTF-8 in one commit and then to drop the new file in place, something like this for 1.4.x: git checkout STABLE-BRANCH-1-4 iconf -f iso-8859-1 -t utf-8 < po/es.po | sed s/ISO-8859-1/UTF-8/ > po/es.po.utf8 mv po/es.po.utf8 po/es.po git add po/es.po git commit -m 'Converted po/es.po to UTF-8' wget -O po/es.po 'https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=es.po;att=3;bug=770726' git add po/es.po git commit --author 'Manuel "Venturi" Porras Peralta <vent...@openmailbox.org>' and for 2.0.x: git checkout STABLE-BRANCH-2-0 iconf -f iso-8859-1 -t utf-8 < po/es.po | sed s/ISO-8859-1/UTF-8/ > po/es.po.utf8 mv po/es.po.utf8 po/es.po git add po/es.po git commit -m 'Converted po/es.po to UTF-8' wget -O po/es.po 'https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?msg=5;filename=es.po;att=3;bug=770727' git add po/es.po git commit --author 'Manuel "Venturi" Porras Peralta <vent...@openmailbox.org>' Please let me know if these are applied upstream! Regards, --dkg
