Package: bumblebee Version: 3.2.1-7 Followup-For: Bug #756522 Dear Maintainer,
*** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Run a command to launch an application with the optirun command, for example "optirun glxgear -info" After getting the above mentioned message I searched online for a solution of this bug. I tried to add to the /etc/bumblebee/xorg.conf.nouveau an additional "Screen" Section, as this solution worked for some people with Ubuntu systems. It didn't work for me. The lines I added to this file are: Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Device "DiscreteNvidia" EndSection * What was the outcome of this action? The outcome was the same as before and the same as reported by other users detecting this bug: [ERROR] Cannot access secondary GPU - error: [Xorg] (EE) /dev/dri/card0: failed to set DRM interfaces version 1.4: Permission denied [ERROR] Aborting because fallback start is disabvled. * What outcome did you expect instead? That the application starts using the DiscreteNvidia Card. -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16-3-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=de_DE.utf8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages bumblebee depends on: ii bbswitch-dkms 0.8-1 ii dpkg 1.17.21 ii init-system-helpers 1.21 ii libbsd0 0.7.0-2 ii libc6 2.19-13 ii libglib2.0-0 2.42.0-2 ii libx11-6 2:1.6.2-3 Versions of packages bumblebee recommends: ii primus 0~20140711-1 Versions of packages bumblebee suggests: pn bumblebee-nvidia <none> -- Configuration Files: /etc/bumblebee/xorg.conf.nouveau changed: Section "ServerLayout" Identifier "Layout0" Option "AutoAddDevices" "false" Option "AutoAddGPU" "false" EndSection Section "Device" Identifier "DiscreteNvidia" Driver "nouveau" BusID "PCI:0a:00.0" EndSection Section "Screen" Identifier "Default Screen" Device "DiscreteNvidia" EndSection -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
