Greetings... This bug still exists in 4.0.1-1, I've attached a patch that fixes this behaviour as well as problems with BOOTIF being ignored when the network module is not compiled into the kernel.
The problem is that 9990-select-eth-device.sh does not trigger and settle udev after loading the af_packet module. It then sits in a tight loop waiting for interfaces and breaks out of the loop as soon as the first interface is registered, but before the rest of them do. Chris
