Package: unetbootin Version: 575-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I had difficulty using the package and found these instructions, http://blog.martinshouse.com/2012/07/formatting-usb-stick-for-unetbootin.html I think that adding a typical USB drive formatting commands to the manpage would be very helpful. Especially, this blog may not be the best instructions (or perhaps it is). This is a 'wishlist' item, but after reviewing the other 'bugs', it seems that some people don't understand that the USB stick must be formatted properly before use. I think it would be useful to provide this info in the man pages. -- System Information: Debian Release: 7.7 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: amd64 Kernel: Linux 3.17.2-amd64-pvr (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages unetbootin depends on: ii libc6 2.13-38+deb7u6 ii libgcc1 1:4.7.2-5 ii libqt4-network 4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libqtcore4 4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libqtgui4 4:4.8.2+dfsg-11 ii libstdc++6 4.7.2-5 ii mtools 4.0.17-1 ii p7zip-full 9.20.1~dfsg.1-4 ii syslinux 2:4.05+dfsg-6+deb7u1 ii udev 175-7.2 Versions of packages unetbootin recommends: ii extlinux 2:4.05+dfsg-6+deb7u1 ii unetbootin-translations 575-1 unetbootin suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
