Control: tag -1 + moreinfo Hi Filippo, hi bcache-tools maintainers,
[I'm not on the release team, just trying to give a hand.] Filippo Giunchedi wrote (15 Nov 2014 00:30:48 GMT) : > This package didn't make it in time for the freeze, however jessie ships with > a > bcache-capable kernel so I think it is important to have userspace tools > available. I acknowledge that giving Debian Jessie users the means to use bcache feels somewhat important strategically, which *might* be a good enough reason to make an exception to the freeze policy on this one. On the other hand: * Is there any strong reason why this use case cannot be addressed via jessie-backports? Hmm, this doesn't make me wish the release team lets this package go into Jessie despite the freeze policy. I would instead suggest maintaining bcache-tools in jessie-backports, and getting it in good shape early enough for the Stretch freeze :) What do the bcache-tools maintainers think?
