Package: culmus Version: 0.101-4 Severity: important Hello.
I use the "LilyPond" music typesetting software. And I've been hit for several weeks by quite a strange (to me, with no knowledge of how fonts are dealt with by the different softwares) problem. I've got 2 machines, which I'll call "i386" and "amd64" (for an obvious reason). When culmus v0.93 is installed, I get the expected output from "lilypond" (which produce "ps" and "pdf" files) on both machines: I.e. the software indicates it is using the Nachlieli font, and the Hebrew letters appears in the output shown by both "gv" and "xpdf". With v0.101 and "lilypond" run on "i386", things begin to get strange: "gv" and "xpdf" run on "i386" still show the Hebrew, but on "amd64", only "xpdf" shows them; "gv" displays a blank line instead. With v.101 and "lilypond" run on "amd64", it gets worse: "gv" run on "i386" shows the Hebrew but "xpdf" shows small dots (!); on "amd64", "xpdf" shows small dots and "gv" only a blank line! I'm unable to find out whether it's a problem of this package, or the font management, or an archtitecture-specific problem or a lilypond problem, or some inconsistency in my Debian font-related packages. I posted all I know about this to the lilypond ML, but didn't get any help as it seems I'm the only one who hit that problem :-( [I noticed that there has been a change in the font name (the addition of the letters "CLM" into the name string)...] Hoping you can shed some light on the issue.
