Package: lvm2
Version: 2.00.24-1
Severity: normal

I was checking out lvm2, and therefore looked into /usr/share/doc/lvm2
for documentation. However, there was a lot of files there that really
didn't contain any documentation etc.

- There is an example_cmdlib.c, no idea what it does, but not really
useful for documentation in non-compiled form (lvm2 users are not
really expected to go compile their own lvm2-modifying programs)
- There are makefiles that don't execute, plus a automake makefile
  template
- The readme is about how to compile LVM2, and has no relevance to users
  of the lvm2 debian package
- testing.txt is about how to test LVM2 builds from source, again,
something for the maintainer, but not for the lvm2 package users
- the VERSION file contains the version number, which is available by
  other means
- WHATS_NEW.gz is a non-standard-named upstream changelog, it should be
installed as 'changelog.gz' per Debian Policy 12.7:

  | "If an upstream changelog is available, it should be accessible
  | as `/usr/share/doc/<package>/changelog.gz' in plain text."
