Hello, I experience this issue several times as well. I see programms listed as beeing removed but I'm unable to figure out what could be the problem and so far assumed "false alarms". E.g. from just right now:
New packages going to be removed from Debian 'testing' (the maintainer might need help): - java3d - https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/java3d - removal on 2014-12-10 (bug: #559767) - java3ds-fileloader - https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/java3ds-fileloader - removal on 2014-12-10 - sweethome3d - https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/sweethome3d - removal on 2014-12-10 Looking at the 3rd entry: I see no indication of a removal in the URL given. This severly reduced the value of how-can-i-help.
