Package: synergy
Version: 1.4.16-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

I started synergy

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Started Synergy by clicking on it's icon in the KDE start menu.
Also tried to start it from the command-line.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

It showed its icon for 1 second and then the UI disappeared.
There was no icon in the KDE panel.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

I expected the UI to remain open until I closed it.
I expected the synergy icon to appear in the kde panel when the UI was hidden.

Currently, I cannot configure synergy as a server.
I tried to run it after a reinstall of Debian with it's previous configuration.

I tried to delete ~/.config/Synergy/Synergy.conf. In this case I got the
setup-wizard.
I selected 'server", and "Finish", and observed again that the UI closed after
1 second.

As of now, the application cannot be used at all on my laptop.
