During the upgrade from 1.9.4-1 to 1.9.4-1+b1 I encountered a problem. Having installing the i386 version of the package, the amd64 version would fail to install with the following error: Unpacking libaudio2:amd64 (1.9.4-1+b1) over (1.9.4-1) ... dpkg: error processing archive /var/cache/apt/archives/libaudio2_1.9.4-1+b1_amd64.deb (--unpack): trying to overwrite shared '/usr/share/doc/libaudio2/changelog.Debian.gz', which is different from other instances of package libaudio2:amd64 Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libaudio2_1.9.4-1+b1_amd64.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) Failed to perform requested operation on package. Trying to recover: dpkg: dependency problems prevent configuration of libaudio-dev:amd64: libaudio-dev:amd64 depends on libaudio2 (= 1.9.4-1+b1); however: Version of libaudio2:amd64 on system is 1.9.4-1.
