Package: ejabberd
Version: 14.07-2
Severity: important

The package currently installs a logrotate(8) configuration which runs
"ejabberdctl reopen-log" as a "postrotate" command after rotating log
files. However, this command immediately overwrites rotated files, as
it doesn't just reopen logs (as the name would suggest) but also rotates
them.

Apart from that, if ejabberd's internal log rotation isn't disabled, it
would also overwrite files that were rotated by logrotate(8) once the
"reopen-log" issue is resolved.
