Hi Sean, As a Debian developer, I wanted to take a moment to say -- thank you for being the kind of person who would file such a high quality bug report against Debian.
Specifically, here are some great things about your bug report: * It relates to the systemd transition, which needs all the review it can get before the next release, in order to help other users avoid problems like these. * It uses matter-of-fact tone and is very easy to read, in terms of (1) lucidly laying out technical facts and (2) describing what could easily be a very painful situation for you without laying personal blame or making the reader feel blamed. * It provides high-quality technical information about your situation, including the (presumably manually created by you) text dump from the journal and the package-specific info. The package-specific info likely comes to us due to reportbug, but I know first-hand that reportbug is not trivial to use, so the fact that you did so is a huge help. * It is filed against nfs-common, the package that (I agree) is most likely to relate to the problem, rather than other packages that may be related, such as systemd, which are likely to receive lots of reports mistakenly assigned to it. Your awareness of the Debian system and your care to file bugs where they can probably be most easily acted-upon is an asset to the Debian project. I'm not a maintainer of nfs-utils, but I wanted to express my gratitude and say that reading bug reports like this makes me grateful that I am part of a Debian community that includes people like you. Sincerely, Asheesh. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact listmas...@lists.debian.org
